Set in post-First World War Liverpool in the summer of 1919, we follow Gideon, a Black British war hero struggling to settle into post-war life. All he wants is a life of peace after fighting in France for three brutal years. However, with racial tensions building and other people of colour being intimidated, removed from their jobs and ultimately attacked, he must now choose whether to fight back against those who he once fought alongside.
